INTRODUCTION
Indoor play spaces are a lifeline for Twin Cities families, especially during the long Minnesota winters. With so many options available, it can be hard to know which venue offers the best fit for your family’s needs and budget. There are so many factors to take into consideration; location, type of venue, hours, ticket price, food options, is the place well maintained, and so on and so forth.
It can be confusing out there to decipher and compare businesses. Some have multiple packages available (60 min, 90, all day), some have hidden costs (socks or adults), some are open limited hours. This guide takes a data-driven look at a sample of the Twin Cities most popular indoor play destinations, comparing features, pricing, party packages, food policies, and more—so you can make an informed decision. We did our best to compare on an apples to apples basis, so when comparing prices we are showing the price for the all day and unlimited options, and for birthdays we defaulted to 10 kids and 2 hours of time, where available. We have noted where there are cheaper packages available.

This list isn’t meant to be all encompassing, but rather our own view of places we know and hear about. There are other sites that do a great job of giving you an overview of all the options, here are a couple https://www.minnesotaparent.com/ https://www.familyfuntwincities.com/

DEEP DIVE INTO THE DATA
Admission Pricing
Day pass prices across the area range from $8.50 (GnG, for young children) to $36 (Big Air Adventure). Most indoor playgrounds, including both Good Times Park locations, offer all-day access for $13, with free adult entry—a standout value compared to venues charging extra for adults or offering limited playtime.
Membership Value
Monthly memberships are available at many venues, with prices typically between $25–$46 but look closely because some require initiation fees. Good Times Park’s monthly membership is $28 with no initiation fee and includes unlimited visits for both locations. Annual memberships at Good Times Park ($210) stand out for affordability and dual-location access, while others may offer punch cards or more restrictive terms.
Birthday Party Packages
Party packages generally include admission for 10 children, room rental, and varying food options. This was one of the hardest areas to compare because there are so many options that it becomes difficult to understand or compare with each other. However, prices range from $220 (InnerActive Mounds View) to $400 (Skyzone, Urban Air). The amount of time differs as well, several businesses offer 1.5 hour packages (Inneractive, Playground Plaza, Zero Gravity) with most being 2 hours, but Kids Empire does offer 2.5 hours. Good Times Park’s party package ($300) offers 2 hours for 10 kids, BYO food, and flexibility for extra guests at $10 each—making it a competitive option for families who prefer to bring their own food or keep costs predictable.
Food & Amenities
Food policies vary widely. Some venues have on-site cafés (Big Air, Lava Island, Urban Air), while others—like Good Times Park, InnerActive, and Playground Plaza—allow families to bring their own food and offer vending options. This flexibility can be a significant cost saver for larger families or those with dietary restrictions.

Customer Experience
Google review scores for these venues are generally high, with most scoring between 4.0 and 4.7. Good Times Park (Eagan) stands out with over 1,500 reviews and a 4.5 rating, reflecting both popularity and consistent customer satisfaction.
REVIEW
There are a lot of solid options out there for Minnesota families that are looking for indoor play. The options vary based on where one is at in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area, whether one is looking for a playground, adventure park or somewhere in between and price point. We hope that this review was helpful for you and that Good Times Park stands out as a competitive option in the South and East metro areas.
